Registered behavior technician

This program will prepare candidates with a strong basic foundation in the basic concepts and principles of applied behavior analysis within the context of Autism treatment and Person Centered approaches. This course is intended for workforce development to address an immediate broad service need. This course provides the foundation for the next steps in advanced education and training in ABA and Autism and supporting students with challenging behaviors.

This training program is NOT for credentialing. This training program is based on the Registered Behavior Technician 2nd Edition Task List and is designed to meet or exceed the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT credential. The program is offered independent of the BACB.

This course is a certificate training program designed to prepare candidates with a strong foundation in the basic concepts and principles of applied behavior analysis. This training program is intended for workforce development to address the immediate need for training towards the RBT. Four hours of this program are focused on Ethics and Professional Behavior.

The RBT Training applies towards the BACB RBT. To become a Registered Behavior Technician the 40-hour training is required, applicants are then required to complete a Competency Assessment and Exam.
